Jiten’s pleated mesh is produced using sheath-core mono yarns combined with a precise heat-setting process, which leverages the different melting points of the yarn’s core and sheath to create a strong thermal bond. During the heat-setting stage, the outer layer softens and fuses the warp and weft yarns together. This manufacturing technique prevents filament fraying, improves dimensional stability, and results in a highly durable mesh that resists deformation—making it ideal for pleated and retractable insect screen systems.
PET (core) – PET (sheath): A polyester core and sheath provide higher rigidity and excellent shape retention.
PP (core) – PE (sheath): A polypropylene core with a polyethylene sheath offers increased softness and flexibility.
Both types are engineered to deliver an optimal balance of strength and pliability, ensuring smooth folding, long-term structural stability, and reliable performance in pleated insect screens and folding mesh applications.
For larger pleat heights or a more rigid, well-defined pleat structure, choose PET–PET material Pleated Mesh for superior shape retention.
For smaller pleat heights or a softer, more flexible mesh, choose PP–PE material Pleated Mesh for compact installations and smoother operation.
